Benjamin Books is a former member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of Canada (ABAC), an affiliate of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB). Presently the firm operates as an independent. 

 

    The firm's principal, Mordecai Bubis, is an appraiser of books and related material, with experience spanning nearly forty years in the book trade. He received his PhD from the London School of Economics. He has provided appraisals for local, national and international institutions. He has served as secretary and treasurer of the ABAC in years past and has been an organizer of book fairs in Ottawa throughout his many years as a bookseller in Ottawa.
